    • ABOUT THE PROJECT

POETA, "Practice-oriented children education in the areas of Industry 4.0 based on a unified open educational hardware platform" is the activity co-financed by European Union, Finland and Russia under South-East Finland - Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020. The project started in March 2020 and it is supposed to become completely self-sustainable by the fall of 2022. Together we develop teaching materials, hardware and software for schools of South Karelia, St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region. Two Technological Universities - Lappeenranta-Lahti and St.Petersburg Polytech, the Educational Department of the City of Lappeenranta and the Company ROBBO from St.Petersburg seem to be the perfect consortium of administrative, educational and business leaders.

    • MISSION

We tell children and teachers what is Industry 4.0 and help them to get ready for the world full of robotics, additive technologies, cyber-physical systems and the internet of things. We want to help the future citizens of this world to find a place there, choose an interesting profession, raise important skills to promoting the technological development of the region.
The aim is to develop a sustainable cross-border educational environment, based on a global educational
product with the Finnish brand and Russian technologies: conducting training activities for children
      and teachers through various events.
